Using and Citing Sources to Build Credibility, Connect to Your Community of Scholarship, and Avoid Plagiarism

Friday, Feb. 13  12:00 - 1:15
Research Hall 161

In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of citing sources in research papers. In order to understand how to cite sources correctly and strategically, writers need to understand why we cite them. This workshop addresses the logic and rhetoric of citing sources, starting with the "why" and moving into the "how." It covers citations in the body of your paper and in the bibliography, and presents strategies for avoiding plagiarism.
