This is a picture of Sonja K. Knecht-Hoshi (she dares you to try to pronounce her name!) in a kimono when she lived in Sapporo, Japan. She was there for four years teaching English as a Foreign Language and it has forever changed her life. She is now in the M.A. Linguistics program at George Mason and when she graduates, she hopes to go back to Japan. Come see her and if you ask nicely, she may even tell you a story or two about Japan.
