Alex
Prince William Campus Writing Center Coordinator, Researcher, Grad Student, and Tutor
After serving in the Writing Center in various capacities for the past few years, Alex is ecstatic
to be joining the family as a teaching assistant. She is a bit unconventional, though, studying
Anthropology and Conflict Analysis and Resolution instead of being affiliated with the English
department. Alex acts as the Prince William Writing Center coordinator and Assistant to the Peer
Tutor and Writing Fellows Program. She is currently conducting research with Dr. Zawacki, Anna
Habib, Eiman Hajabbasi, and Alo Das on cross-cultural writing conventions and non-native students'
experiences transitioning into the American academy. Alex is also one of our personal statement
tutors, so be it scholarships, fellowships, or graduate school, she invites you to make an
appointment and discover your future (ha).
